First things first, I have to tell you that Jennifer Garner and I have dined at many, many restaurants together. We’ve picked produce at her family’s farm in Oklahoma and hung with A-listers at all the best places.
Now, to be perfectly clear, this happened only virtually, me following along with her exploits on Instagram like a true superfan. With Jen, it’s always been for one really great reason: She’s just so darn likeable, so totally a person everyone thinks could be her new best friend, tagging along for girls’ nights out and picnics on the back 40.
After watching her "Pretend Cooking Show," which was, frankly, the most relatable cooking series ever, I figured it was time to do what any self-respecting person would do: eat where Jennifer eats. So I dug deep into the restaurants she’s frequented, mentioned, or just simply loved.
I figure that if these places are good enough for her, they’re good enough for me. Here’s where Jennifer's been spotted (or mentioned) recently and why these spots are more than worthy of your time.
A.O.C. – Los Angeles

A.O.C. is the spot you go when you want a mix of delicious, seasonal dishes and an atmosphere that says “I know where the good food’s at.” Jennifer’s been here enough times to make it clear that it’s a regular for her—she’s raved about the vegetable-centric menu. It's the kind of place that balances elegance with comfort, and you can see why Jennifer keeps coming back.
Bestia – Los Angeles

Bestia isn’t just another trendy Italian restaurant—it’s the place everyone in LA goes when they want to eat something unforgettable. The industrial chic vibe gives way to a menu that doesn’t mess around. Jennifer’s mentioned it a couple of times in her posts, and while we can’t say for sure what her favorite dish is, we’re partial to the Pistachio Tiramisu. If you're wondering if it's worth the hype, yes, it absolutely is.
Blue Hill – Tarrytown, NY

Blue Hill at Stone Barns is where farm-to-table dining reaches its peak. Jennifer picked veggies here and praised the seasonal dishes and the sustainable approach, all while taking in the stunning views of the farm. It’s a place that feels both grounded in nature and elevated in execution—a perfect fit for her tastes.
Café Gratitude – Los Angeles

Café Gratitude might as well be an LA institution for plant-based dining. It’s clean, simple, and feels like the place where you go to clear your head while putting good things in your body. Jennifer has posted about it more than once, gushing about the “I Am Humble” bowl. It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you’re doing something for yourself, even if you just came for lunch.
Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi – Santa Monica

This Italian gem in Santa Monica is practically a secret, but it’s one Jennifer Garner doesn’t keep to herself. She came here on a girls’ night out (leaving me wondering if my invitation got lost in my spam filter). It's one of those spots that combines elegance with a little bit of Hollywood magic—perfect for a dinner that feels as indulgent as it does comforting.
In-N-Out – Costa Mesa

The queen of wholesome comfort food, Jennifer knows that sometimes you can’t beat a good In-N-Out burger. She shared a meal here with Ina Garten, the one and only Barefoot Contessa, and what better endorsement of a fast-food burger is there than that?
Nobu – Malibu

When it comes to celebrity hangouts, Nobu Malibu is the gold standard. Jennifer’s been spotted here several times, once with her "Alias" costar Bradley Cooper and their kids. There’s good reason, because the sushi here doesn’t need any hype to prove itself—it’s that good. Oh, and a quick glance at the ocean view and you’ll know exactly why she keeps coming back.
Pizzana – Los Angeles

Jennifer Garner doesn’t do casual shout-outs, so when she calls Pizzana "THE Los Angeles destination for real deal Italian pizza," it’s a serious endorsement. She’s known chef Daniele Uditi for years and brought him on her Pretend Cooking Show. Uditi’s approach to Neapolitan pizza is no gimmick—it’s straight-up skilled craft.
Poggio Trattoria – Sausalito, CA

Poggio Trattoria has become a bit of a celebrity hideout, and Jennifer joined in while in the Bay Area to film “The Last Thing He Told Me” (that’s her in the show above). She turned into a regular at this Italian spot, and so much so that they named a cocktail after her. With an unbeatable location and consistently great food, it’s a local favorite that definitely has Jennifer’s seal of approval.
Sarabeth’s

Jennifer likes Sarabeth’s Cloud Cookies so much, she recreated them on her cooking show. “Breakfast cookies— they just make sense,” she wrote in the caption, and who would disagree with the idea of dessert for breakfast? Sarabeth’s has four locations in New York, meaning if you’re in the city, you’re never far from starting your day with cookies.
Toscana – Brentwood

If you ever bump into Jennifer Garner in Brentwood, chances are you’re at Toscana. This place has been her go-to for family meals, and it’s easy to see why. The rustic Italian menu and relaxed vibe make it a perfect spot for her to unwind with her kids. The seafood platter here? It’s practically a celebrity in its own right.
